There is a book I have been sitting on for…about 5 or 6 years?

It was the first book I ever wrote. After going through the editing process, while the book was miles better, my confidence in it had been shattered. But a while back, I returned to it after not touching it for a long time. It wasn’t what I remembered–I liked it.

This is a young adult series with fae, magic, and self-discovery. It tells a lot about me as a fledgling writer, I think. Like the main character, I was finding my footing and discovering my own limits–and the limits that I would break through.

Currently, I’m toying with releasing book 1 in this series in spring of 2023, but with the expectation that book 2 won’t be written or published until the first three books in the Crowbar series are out. (Summer 2024 at the absolute earliest.)

I’ve never been the fastest writer, so waiting wouldn’t be anything new for y’all, but I do want to set the proper expectations for how this series will release 🙂

PS…young adult has more to do with the age of the main character than the content. If you enjoyed Cursed World, I don’t think you’ll be put off by Melodie’s struggles in this book. She is young, and she’ll make mistakes that you, as an adult, wouldn’t. But she will grow, and that journey is the best part.
